|FUTURE WOMEN CONFERENCE ACHIEVERS – 2019
The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka has organized the 2nd International Conference on Future of Women 2019 on 14th – 15th February 2019 at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo, Sri Lanka under the theme “Voices of Women: Transition from Inspiration to Action”. TIIKM joined hands with Vasanta College for Women – Admitted to the Privileges of Banaras Hindu University India as the Hosting Partner. The academic Partners were The Allameh Tabataba’i University, Iran, University of Peshawar, Pakistan and Khon Kaen University, Thailand. The Conference was chaired by Prof. Anita Singh from Centre for Women’s Studies and Development, Banaras Hindu University, India.
EVALUATED BY WHOM?
Each of the sessions and presentations was evaluated by an individual international evaluation committee and based on their marks and conference chairs consent Five session best presenters, Best Student presenter and Best Overall presenter was selected. Best Student presenter and Best overall presenter won Free Registration for Future of women 2020 with many more benefits.
OVERALL BEST PRESENTER – ACHIEVER
“MIGRATION, DISPLACEMENT, ENVIRONMENT, and HUMAN RIGHTS AND WOMEN”
Pornsan Piyanantisak from the Khon Kaen University, Thailand became the overall best Presenter. She was also the Session’s Best Presenter for the Session “MIGRATION, DISPLACEMENT, ENVIRONMENT, and HUMAN RIGHTS AND WOMEN” under the topic “Women in Organizations: Case of Thailand’s Military Institutions”.
BEST STUDENT PRESENTERS – ACHIEVER
“GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, HUMAN TRAFFICKING”
Yadav and P. Yadav from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and Sahas Foundation, India respectively won the Best Student Presenters Title, for the Session “GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, HUMAN TRAFFICKING” under the topic “Saying No to Child Sexual Abuse: An Intervention Study about Gender, Sexuality and Reproductive Health on Adolescents from Low Socioeconomic Background in India”
SESSION’S BEST PRESENTER
“WOMEN IN HEALTH, ECONOMY AND POWER”
Dr. K. Gulia Kamalesh from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, India became the Session’s Best Presenter and the Session was “WOMEN IN HEALTH, ECONOMY AND POWER”. Her title was “Lack of Awareness on Peri-Pregnancy Health and Jeopardising Maternal-Child Outcomes”.

“GLASS CEILING AND STICKY FLOORS”
I.S.N. Koththagoda, K.U.S. Dalpatadu became the Session’s Best Presenters for the Session “GLASS CEILING AND STICKY FLOORS” under the topic “Women Lawyers in Social Change; Breaking the Glass Ceiling”. , N.T. Gunaratne and M. Rifaideen, W.W.N.U. Wickramratne were their other group members. All the Team members are from Towards Responsive Citizens, Sri Lanka.

Dr. N. A. Devi an Independent Researcher became the Session’s best Presenter for the Session “GENDER EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT” under the topic “Retrospecting Women’s Empowerment among Meitei Community in North-East India, Manipur”

“UNDER-REPRESENTATION/MISREPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN THE MEDIA AND MOVIES”
B. Chalauisaeng from Khon Kaen University, Thailand became the Session’s best Presenter for the Session “UNDER-REPRESENTATION/MISREPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN THE MEDIA AND MOVIES” under the topic “Under-Representation of Women in the Media through the Analyses of Semiotic and Semantic Features of Fragrance Advertisements”

“EDUCATION, TRAINING AND INSTITUTIONAL MECHANISM FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN”
Prof. Dr. M. B. Bhargava from Nirma University (IAPNU), India became the Session’s best Presenter for the Session “EDUCATION, TRAINING AND INSTITUTIONAL MECHANISM FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN” under the topic “Women in Architecture Profession in India”
The conference consisted of keynote forum and five major technical presentation sessions. In addition to the Sessions, TIIKM also conducted two forums parallel to the conference as the Business Women Forum, which discussed the ways women are challenged and succeed in building their careers and growing their businesses, Women CEO Forum which provided tangible, actionable advice as well as important sources of support from distinguished leaders. We would like to congratulate all the Participants, Session Winners and the Achievers for giving their best in order to make the Conference a Success and Appeal to the World which strived to bring together storytellers from every corner of the world which helped us learn about each other outside of the framework of a formal conference paper.
The conference ended with 100s of happy faces over 19 countries, with the confidence of gaining the expected knowledge and building up networks. The 3rd International Conference on Future of Women 2020 will be held from 13th – 14th February 2020 in Bangalore, India. We hope to see you there.
