The World popular Agricultural Scientist, Dr. Moin Us Salam, will be speaking in The 6th International Conference on Agriculture 2019 ( AGRICO 2019 ) which is scheduled to be held on 22nd – 23rd August, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Moin is Crop Systems Modeler, internationally recognized as agro-systems analyst and forecaster of crop diseases. Dr. Salam served the Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia (DAFWA), recently renamed as Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), for 17 years and held the position of a Principal Research Officer, which was the highest level attainable for a practicing scientist in the public service of the Government of Western Australia.
Dr. Salam was with the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, for 10 years as a faculty in the Department of Agronomy.These days, Dr. Salam is working as a Freelance International Consultant. He is currently with the International Maize Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) in the Climate Services for Resilient Development (CSRD) project under Sustainable Intensification Program for developing lentil Stemphylium disease forecasting system in Bangladesh, India and Nepal.
He has published 78 refereed papers in reputed journals (including Agronomy Journal, Agricultural Systems, Annual Review of Phytopathology, Australasian Plant Pathology, Crop Protection, Diversity and Distributions, Ecological Modelling, Euphytica, European Journal of Plant Pathology, International Journal of Food Security, Microbial Ecology, Plant Pathology and Phytopathology) and 39 papers in proceedings, 15 articles in books and delivered 14 Consultancy Reports.
