The 09th International Conference on Public Health 2023 (ICOPH 2023) which will be held from 03rd – 04th August 2023, has collaborated with Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, Indonesia as an Academic Partner.
In 2001, the government issued a policy regarding “organizational downsizing”, then the six health academies in Yogyakarta were merged into one in the form of The Health Polytechnic with the name Health Polytechnic of the Yogyakarta Department of Health, or abbreviated as the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Poltekkes. The position of the academy in the Health Polytechnic is a department, so that the Health Polytechnic of the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health consists of 6 (six) departments, namely: (1) Department of Health Analyst; (2) Department of Nutrition; (3) Midwifery Department; (4) Department of Nursing; (5) Department of Dental Nursing; and (6) Department of Environmental Health. Each Department at the Poltekkes MOH Yogyakarta consists of a Diploma Three Study Program, a Diploma Four Study Program or an Applied Bachelor.
As the Department’s nomenclature changed to become a Ministry in 2010, the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Polytechnic changed its name to the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Health Polytechnic, or abbreviated as the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Poltekkes or Polkesyo. In order to improve service performance in all fields, the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Poltekkes implements Public Service Agency Financial Management (PK-BLU). The financial management of the BLU Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta is based on the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Starting from January 2012, the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Polytechnic was given the freedom to manage finances independently.
Starting in 2012 there was a delegation of Academic Guidance under the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decree of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. According to current developments, the Department at the Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Polytechnic has additional Study Programs consisting of Diploma Three Study Programs, Diploma Four Study Programs or Applied Bachelors and Professional Education Programs.
In 2019 based on the Decree of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the change in the name of the Study Program at the Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic in Sleman Regency which was organized by the Ministry of Health and RI Kepmenristekdikti Decree regarding the change in the name of the Environmental Health Study Program Diploma Four Program to the Environmental Sanitation Study Program Applied Undergraduate Program at the Yogyakarta Health Polytechnic in Sleman Regency organized by the Ministry of Health.
The Yogyakarta Ministry of Health Poltekkes is making scientific development efforts through the development of new study programs so that in 2020 Polkesyo will obtain a new permit for the RMIK Study Program.
